The Girls in Science 4 SDGs International Platform is a Global Program of the Royal Academy of Science International Trust (RASIT) launched at the United Nations Headquarters by RASIT’s Executive Director, HRH Princess Dr Nisreen El-Hashemite, in 2018 in close collaboration with Mission of Portugal to the United Nations, to achieve equity in science and empower girls in science as Today’s leaders for Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Beyond Boundaries



Since launching in 2018, the “Girls in Science 4 SDGs International Platform” has evolved rapidly, with initiatives and programs running full steam ahead, its membership numbers ever-growing and activated.


The Platform seeks to spotlight the leadership role of Girls in Science as a source of inspiration for a better future by 2030 and beyond.


Through its activities and initiatives, the Girls in Science showcasing their achievements as constructive agents of change, and how they stand up for equality, the rights for health, education, water, sustainable energy, and climate change, among others.


In 2020, the Spanish Section was also launched the first step towards a truly multilingual Platform. The Platform was restructured this year to capitalize on its initial momentum and further activate Girls in Science to embody the change they wish to see in the world.



What's happening..?



Following the Steps of RASIT's Founder the late HRH Prince Mohammad bin King Faisal (I) El-Hashemite who provided higher education scholarships for more than 21,500 youth, half of them is women. On 22nd April 2021, HRH Prince Adnan El-Hashemite, the Dean of RASIT announced that RASIT will provide 25 university scholarships for Girls and Female-Youth in the STEM fields.
