The entire world is currently turning to medical professionals, disease control centers, and scientists to fight on the frontlines and safeguard public health. Through leveraging scientific evidence and knowledge, coupled with passion, they are protecting our populations, economies and planet. We shall emerge from this crisis, stronger and better prepared for the next challenge.
However, we must admit that our vulnerability against the onset of this pandemic was rooted in the lack of acknowledgement from policymakers regarding the benefits of greater investment in science. In order for the world to truly commit purposeful contributions to the three pillars of sustainable development: economic, environmental, and social, we must encourage a meaningful understanding of science among individuals and highlight the significant impact it has on our lives. By promoting science as the core of sustainable development, we have the power to save lives.
We, the Girls in Science, believe that together we can overcome a common challenge whether it be health related, climate change, illiteracy, hunger, and inequality. We want to change our world for the better, by using science as our guide. The aim of our campaign is to have One- Billion Voices to be stronger and advocate on your behalf with policymakers and multi-stakeholders to invest in science education and science-based solutions.
Let us work together to protect our populations, economies and planet. Your voice makes a difference for a brighter tomorrow. Support Science Saving Our World.
